Mendut temple made by Sri Maharaja Panangkaran at the second half of century. Mendut temple resembles Pawon temple in many ways, such as : The body is square, the gate face south west. The height of the temple is 26,40 m, divided of the foot basement, body and peak. Above the basement there is a square stage surrounding the body of the temple, which has relief of animal, such as : monkey, deer, tiger, bird, crocodile, and turtle. In the adjoining sell there is a statue of Buddha Sayakmuni when sitting on a throne. In the left side there is Buddha Lokesvara, and Buddha Vajraponi in the right side. Below the Buddha Sayakmuni there is a “Cakra” wheel between two deer.
